I know I know...

Its been ages again, i will get better i promise!
We have so much going on at the moment there is barely time to turn the laptop on never mind post a blog!
We have two family members who are dying. Both Nanna in law and FIL have cancer and have been told its terminal. FIL isnt so bad as yet but Nanna is deteriorating. Its so sad.
Neice Claire has moved back in again, for those that remember my posts from her living here on any of the previous 4 times she has grown up a little at 21 and so far (5 days in) things have been good.
However we do only have a 2 bed house with us and Imogen in it already so last week was spent emptying the cellar which i had turned into a room just before i met Chris and he then moved in and its been full of our rubbish ever since.
On top of all that we have the usual family and friend obligations, we are at a friends wedding on Saturday, Neice Sydneys 4th birthday is only a couple of weeks away, my 2 best friends are pregnant again due in May and July.
And of course there's Imogen...
I have been watching her turn from this...

Into this!

Along the way she has had her first haircut!

Moved up into the big pram :0)
Had her cousin Sydney over for a sleepover!
There's obviously so much more but i'm already turning into a bore who goes on and on about their child, maybe when i go back to work i'll have more to talk about lol

See i'm still here!!!!

Chris is watching the football, Imogen is sleeping peacefully in her cot and i am here, feels like ages!

I suppose i should try and do a proper update!

Sooooo, well we had a girl lol, she's gorgeous and wonderful and beautiful, just in case i hadnt mentioned it before....

She is almost 4 months now and a sturdy 12lb 7oz at last weigh in, she is learning to stand and sit and becomes more and more fun every day. She has had 2 lots of injections wich she loved...not lol and has an ongoing skin problem which she has been referred for and is currently under control with steroid cream which is not a long term solution, it's probably eczema as both mummy and daddy have it....

She was sleeping through with one late night feed at 6 weeks old and as of a week ago sleeps through from 7pm to 7am...happy days!
She is in the main a happy little soul, very smiley when happy, not much in the way of giggles yet but she has definately found her voice and wakes Chris most mornings with her babblings, very cute :0)

I will post some more photo's and bore you more but have just had my laptop overhauled and no longer have access to the drive where we store them so it will have to wait for now!

Neice Claire is 21 on Sunday, i cant believe it! We have organised a party as her gift as her mum and stepdad arent the type to bother and what 21yr old doesnt want a party??? She has had a good week really as she has finally got her car on the road too, unfortunately already had her first bump too but nothing serious thankfully.

Chris and i havent been up to much, with the economy the way it is and a new baby there is a distict lack of time and funds for anything exciting but we're happy enough at home most of the time.

We bought ourselves a Wii for christmas and Chris bought me a Wii Fit for my birthday and my sister bought me and R4 for my DS so lots of gaming of one kind or another going on, i'm still addicted to Civilisation on the PS3 too which was a christmas present from Chris.

It looks like i'll be going back to work part time in July as strangely it works out the best financially with my sister in law and i looking after each others respective children, am sure those that know me at all are chuckling at the thought of me looking after two babies, who wouldve thought it lol

I have videos and photo's of them both to post...i will get round to it i promise, assuming i have any readers left with my prolonged absences.

I am a cliche!

and i'm loving it!

I am spending my days feeding, winding, changing and watching Imogen sleep with a little bit of housework thrown in.
My beloved husband is being amazing and frankly i couldnt be happier :0)
I am the biggest cliche of new mum you could ever see

Photoshoot 2!

So what did we do with our time off??

On Friday we cleaned....yeah i know not exactly what you wanna do when you are on "holiday" but we cleaned that house from top to bottom, every room, Chris even did the garden.

The house was spotless, the garden was tidy and clean and the bbq was set up ready for Saturdays bbq.

And then of course it rained!

In the end we just had Amanda, Paul and Keith round as originally planned and cancelled the bbq, we still had a good night and didnt get to bed till 4am!

Sunday we lay about on the sofas all day as we were knackered lol, sorted out the mess from the night before and then did nothing, it was great, the house was still lovely and clean and tidy apart from a few pots so we just got the dishwasher going and relaxed.

On Monday we went to Jodrell Bank in the afternoon, it is being threatened with closure which i think would be a real shame. We only had to pay £2 each to go in, then another £1 each to watch a 3d film of a trip to Mars in the future! We werent there long but it was interesting and i'm glad we went.

Monday evening was Goldfrapp, they were fab! The atmosphere was great and the venue was good in my opinion, havent been to Bridgewater Hall before.
The baby obviously liked one song in particular as started doing somersaults but then stopped when the song did! Think we may have a Goldfrapp fan on our hands lol

Tuesday we went for the scan....

Chris is now convinced it is a boy, The red arrows point to 2 shadows which are very much like legs and the blue arrow another smaller shadow in the middle of them....

Well we didnt ask and we werent told so i guess we'll just have to wait and see but it does look suspiciously like we may have a boy on our hands!

And if you look at it this way you can see a freaky face!

Back track and update

Previous to the episode with the doctor, back when i first discovered i was pregnant i tried to return to my old doctors practise as i was happier there but had changed when Chris moved in, the logic being we knew we were going to have children and it made sense to us for the whole family to be with the same doctor.

I spoke to the practise manager at my old doctors but they told me i couldnt go back as i now lived out of the area, i explained that the doctor had let me register there before knowing i was out of the area as he had been my doctor since i was young but they still wouldnt hear of it.

So after this episode with my new doctor, my mum who is still with my old doctor has made an appointment to go next week and will discuss it in person with the doctor to see if we can come to some sort of arrangement where Chris and i can both register there.

Their argument was that should i need anyone to come out to me i was out of their area, my response is that the emergency doctors clinic is on my street and i am very close to the hospital so should anything happen i am unlikely to call them out anyway!

I'll keep you posted!

Lynsey pointed out that i havent really blogged much about being pregnant, well am sure that will change in the next few weeks as the only reason i havent is nothing has been happening!

I have had no morning sickness or anything like that, i was very tired at the beginning but on the whole that has passed although i am absolutely knackered today!

However over the past week i have started to be "uncomfortable", at one point having to sit up in bed for half an hour as no matter how i lay i couldnt relax.
The baby has been moving a lot more over the past week but its still at the stage where only i can feel it and its still quite light.

I do realise though that at 20 weeks all these things are going to change over the next few weeks and i will probably have lots to complain about!

I went up to the hospital to meet my midwife after work last night so she could take a blood sample for the Barts test and she listened to baby's heartbeat while we were there.
It doesnt seem to matter how often we hear it, it's still incredibly reassuring and fascinating :0)

On a more day to day basis Chris and i finish work today until next Wednesday giving us 5 glorious days off! We are having a barbeque on Saturday weather allowing to which we have invited neice Claire, her boyfriend Paul, friend Amanda and her boyfriend Paul and our other friend Keith so if the weather is good i can see us all sitting in the garden until the early hours!
Saturday is also coincidentally the 2 year anniversary of when Chris and i met for the first time, if you had told me then in two years i would be married with a baby on the way i'm not sure i would have believed you!

On the Monday we go to see Goldfrapp at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester which was one of my anniversary gifts to Chris.

And then on the Tuesday we have our 2nd scan! Expect a picure!

One year today :0)

It's our first anniversary today! :0)

Chris is taking me out tonight but isnt telling me where! Am sure it will be fun.

It's been a hectic year with relatives being seriously ill and the usual day to day stuff that happens but you know what?

I wouldnt change a thing! I woke up exactly where i wanted to be this morning, cuddled up to Chris at home. (although a day off work together would've been nice lol)

It's been a mad year babes and the next one is only going to be more hectic when the baby arrives and makes us a family. I can't believe its been a year already and i love you more than ever xxx

Our Day.

Little update...

So I haven’t posted anything but pictures and video for a while.
We have been busy sorting out our finances and my job has moved from Manchester to Warrington.

My sister put me on to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ which is definitely worth a look! Gives you loads of info on how to save money in lots of different ways.
Since first looking we have changed our gas, electric, telephone and broadband supplier, Chris has saved a whopping £30 PER MONTH on his car insurance!

We have wangled money back from places and cheaper rates and sorted pensions, life insurance and the mortgage, we’ve been very busy!

On top of that my job has moved, the new offices seem great so far and my job is currently the same so its only the journey that’s changed, going in is fine but coming home is taking a lot longer than it did but then I have only been doing it a week or so, I may not have found the best way yet!

Chris has been really ill with Flu, and no I don’t mean “man flu” he was actually really poorly, so glad I didn’t catch it!!

All our family have been fine with no-one ill for a few weeks now so we have been enjoying having some peace and time to ourselves, translated means we have been lazing about watching films and enjoying our faster broadband speed :0)

It’s our first valentines as Mr & Mrs tomorrow so going along the money saving theme we have set a budget we have to stick to so I am intrigued to find out what Chris buys!

I have never been and i'm really looking forward to it :0)
All we seem to have done for ages is either visit other people or entertain other people at our house, it's gonne be really nice to go out just the two of us :0)
